The city of lights, love and a million amazing places to see. There are a few travel bloggers who have gone against the flow (sticking true to their guns, which I respect) and have written posts about how the city didn’t quite woo them; but I am not one of those people. I am a walking cliche, because Paris captures my heart in different ways every time I visit.
I mean, what’s not to love (aside from the lines)? I just don’t understand not loving this city.
THERE IS SO MUCH TO DISCOVER
I mean SO much. I have been to Paris twice and still haven’t seen everything I want to. Eiffel Tower, Catacombs of Paris, Cathedral of Notre Dame, Arc du Triomphe are all the “infamous” things, but there are so many other things in Paris that deserve to be seen (like the Lovers Wall).
THE FRENCH GET A BAD WRAP – AND YOU CAN SEE HOW THEY REALLY ARE.
The French are known for being snooty and stuck up, but I’ve honestly never experienced this during my travels there. French are fairly kind, keep to themselves…they do dress implacably; that stereotype is true.
IT’S ROMANTIC. AND THAT’S AWESOME. AND YOU KNOW IT (EVEN IF YOU’RE SINGLE.)
I have a question for those people who say they aren’t romantic or “living the single life forever” – are you telling me that the man or woman of your dreams is sitting with you, in front of the Eiffel Tower at night, lights flashing, all cuddled into each other under a blanket….are you telling me that’s NOT what you want?! Even if you’re alone, are you saying that you won’t feel pure happy when you’re standing in front of the Eiffel Tower or combing through the historic Catacombs? Come on, don’t kid yourself.
NOT JUST ROMANCE…THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERY KIND OF TRAVELER
Although it is known as the romantic city of love, Paris has so much to offer every kind of traveler. Catacombs of Paris for those interested in some spooky, gloomy history. Louvre for the art lover. Notre Dame is amazing for those who are dying for a breathtaking view. There are countless pubs (like the Great Canadian Pub) for those who want to relax with a few drinks. A night at Moulin Rouge for those wild roamers. A bit of everything in this city, I’d say.
